1. Brotherhood
Wale (Falz) and Akin (Tobi Bakre) Adetula are twin brothers who witnessed the murder of their parents when they were young and grew up to choose opposite paths: Wale joined the Police as a detective, while Akin turned to crime and spent time behind bars.
Following his release from prison, Akin Adetula teamed up with the violent gang known as the “Ojuju Boys,” who specialized in robbing bullion vans and banks. Their first operation was successful, so the group decided to try again with a larger heist. At first, Akin Adetula resisted joining the heist, but eventually, he came around.
2. Anikulapo
Produced by the brilliant writer and cinematographer, Kunle Afolayan, ANIKULAPO is a Yoruba movie set in the 16th century in the old Oyo Empire. A cloth weaver happened to engage in infidelity with Alaafin’s youngest and favorite wife. One thing led to another, he was imprisoned, rescued, and went to another town to continue his life. 3. Elesin Oba
Elesin Oba is an adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s popular play titled The King’s Horseman. Directed by the late Biyi Bandele, ELESIN OBA is a typical movie set in the old Oyo empire as well. 4. King Of Thieves
King of Thieves, also known as Ogundábède, is about the famous town and prosperous kingdom of Ajeromi. Things were going as well as they should have been in the Ajeromi kingdom until Agesinkole, a powerful bandit and terrorist, came to terrorize the peaceful and prosperous kingdom of Ajeromi. The Ajeromi Kingdom, however, sought to destroy this Agesinkole bandit with just every power within them, including their hunters and witches.
5. Glamour Girls
Glamour Girls is a 2022 Nigerian movie that was made by Abimbola Craig and directed by Bunmi Adesoye. It was put on Netflix and stars Nse Ikpe-Etim, Sharon Ooja, Joselyn Dumas, Toke Makinwa, and Segilola Ogidan as women who become escorts and start living glamorous and expensive lives.
Glamour Girls was first called a remake, but it turned out to be a new version of the original story with a completely different plot and new characters, though some of the actors from the 1994 movie played the same roles in the new version.
